Silicon Valley star Martin Starr has revealed some pretty cool details about his 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' role. Hit the jump to find out what he had to say.
In a new interview with The Wrap, the actor was asked about his role in Homecoming:
“I’m the academic decathlon coach and one of the teachers at the school so I have a bit of a thing in it.”
Starr then continued to discuss the movie and what is going on:
“It’s capitalizing on popularity and a story that’s very rich and dense, so there’s a lot left to tell. And this isn’t a familiar take on it — this is a unique kind of take of a younger Spider-Man trying to figure out life again. The story has a lot of action and fun in it, but it’s also a sweet, coming-of-age story of a kid.”
Before concluding the interview, the actor had some pretty-high praise for new Spider-Man star, Tom Holland:
“Tom is great. He’s captivating and he’s fun to act with.”
Funnily enough, the cast and crew were forced to watch Freaks & Geeks before the film begun production. Starr was one of the show’s leading “freaks.” Are you guys keen to see Spider-Man: Homecoming? Do you think the movie is going to be a huge hit? I guess we’ll find out when the film swings into theatres everywhere on July 7th.
