Thanos Book Reveals What Happened To Titan Before ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

Marvel’s new Thanos: Titan Consumed young adult novel explores more of Thanos’ backstory from Avengers: Infinity War.

In Avengers: Infinty War, it is revealed Thanos warned the people of Titan that the planet would eventually fail. This leads to Thanos’ motivation of obtaining the Infinity Stones to wipe out have the universe so resources don’t run out. Marvel’s new Thanos: Titan Consumed young adult novel by Barry Lyga fleshes out the mad titan’s MCU backstory introduced in Infinity War. In the novel, Thanos discovers the planet will ultimately fail and takes this information to his father, who rejects him. Thanos would go on to share the news with the people of Titan and his plans to eliminate half the planet, which causes riots, suicides, and more disorder on the planet. Thanos is then banished from Titan and the planet would become what is seen in Avengers: Infinity War.

Thanos will return in Avengers 4, here is the synopsis:

A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers 4 is expected to star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Brie Larson, Josh Brolin and Chris Pratt.

Avengers 4 is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 3, 2019.
