One major plot hole in Spider-Man: Homecoming is its place within the MCU timeline, not taking place in 8 years after The Avengers like the film says. There are also minor plot holes throughout like Peter’s bedroom and hairstyle being inconsistent, with Civil War and Homecoming overlapping in time. Now another plot hole has now been spotted on the Marvel Studios subreddit. In Civil War‘s end credits scene, Peter is seen nursing a black eye after the airport battle in Germany. When Homecoming shows Peter getting dropped off by Tony after the battle, Tony has a black eye, but not Peter.
What do you make of this plot hole? Does this annoy you? Did you notice this the first time you saw Homecoming? Do you think there was reason why the filmmakers disregarded Peter’s injuries? Comment below!
