The summer movie season might be over, but there’s still one more superhero movie coming out this year: Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange. The fourteenth entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will introduce the mystical side of this universe, as well as a brand new hero named Stephen Strange, who will be played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
The story has been shrouded in secrecy, but Marvel has just released a new featurette for the movie, featuring Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige talking about Strange’s origin story and the villains of Doctor Strange. There’s not really a lot of new footage in there, but expect to see more and more new snippets now that we’re getting close to the release of the movie.
You can watch the new featurette below.
UPDATE: Here’s a new international TV spot for the movie.
Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, Tilda Swinton, Benedict Wong, Amy Landecker and Scott Adkins, Doctor Strange opens in theaters on November 4, 2016. Are you excited?
