Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy on Disney XD will be returning for a third season based on the Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout attraction.
In addition, the next season of Guardians of the Galaxy will introduce solo adventures featuring unique animation styles next season, including a Gamora adventure influenced by classic Disney Princesses. A 22 minute LEGO Marvel Guardians Special is also coming soon.
Marvel also revealed the galaxies unlikeliest will team up with the Nova Corps, The Avengers, and Asgardian Warriors in an effort to save Adam Warlock and take down Magus for the end of the second season. It was also teased that the Guardians will be splitting up next season as there will be a price to pay for messing The Collector’s stuff.

The series stars Will Friedle (Boy Meets World) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Trevor Devall (Johnny Test) as Rocket Raccoon, Vanessa Marshall (Star Wars Rebels) as Gamora, David Sobolov (Transformers: Prime) as Drax the Destroyer, and Kevin Michael Richardson (The Cleveland Show) as Groot. The third season will find the Guardians gaining fame and fortune, but quickly knocked back on their heels after being framed by the Collector. The Guardians will travel to new universes, stage a massive sting operation inside the Nova Corps, and expose a Secret Invasion years in the making. A little bad and a little good – all in a day’s work.
