Marvel TV Head Wouldn’t Be Surprised If Daredevil, Luke Cage Are Revived

Many Marvel and Netflix fans are still saddened by the cancelation of their favorite shows, such as Daredevil and Luke Cage, but Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb wouldn’t be surprised if they get revived.

With the majority of fans enjoying the Marvel Netflix shows, it was a big surprise when it was announced that Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and arguably the most successful Marvel show, Daredevil were canceled. We’re still awaiting the news on future of other Netflix shows like Jessica Jones and The Punisher, however, one can assume those are headed for the ax as well. Well, there still may be hope for fans that are waiting for the shows to be revived as Jeph Loeb revealed on the Television Critics Association’s 2019 winter tour that they could return, under the right circumstances:

“I would not be surprised if any of those things reemerged. It depends on showrunner, it depends on availability of cast, all of those things. It’s not like we’re a doctor show where the show got canceled because of bad ratings. These are shows that have very different reasons [for ending], most of which I’m not at liberty to talk about, nor should anyone really care at the end of day.”

Based on the number of viewers and the majority of fans at least enjoying the multiple hero series, it’s interesting that Netflix ultimately decided to pull the pin on Daredevil and Luke Cage. Yes, some of the series were a bit slow at times and they could have been a few episodes shorter, but for the most part, they were enjoyable. Loeb noted:

“In the Netflix situations, that was a situation where the network made a decision and we had nothing to say about it.”

Marvel’s The Punisher stars Jon Bernthal, Ben Barnes, Amber Rose Revah, Jason R. Moore, Josh Stewart, Floriana Lima, Giorgia Whigham, Corbin Bernsen, Annette O’Toole, and Deborah Ann Woll. Here’s the synopsis for season two:
