Marvel Studios VP Dustin Sandoval asked the world this morning on Twitter if we, in fact, need another Avengers: Endgame trailer. The tweet from Sandoval has suddenly been removed from the internet, but some fans were able to voice their opinions early on.
This last Thursday, Marvel Studios unexpectedly released the second official trailer for Avengers: Endgame along with a brand new poster showcasing all of Earth’s remaining heroes. The trailer was perfectly edited meshing together scenes from past origin films such as Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Captain America (Chris Evans) along with new footage from the upcoming film.
It’s been hinted at by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige that they have only used clips from the first 20 minutes of Endgame. According to Director Joe Russo Avengers: Endgame is over three hours long. That means there’s plenty of film left over to draw from and cut together another trailer if Marvel Studios wanted to.
However, just because they can does not mean they will or should put out another trailer for Endgame. One fan on Twitter believes that some things should be left a complete secret until it is revealed on screen.
No, I don’t want to know any more than I currently know about it until I’m sitting in the theater watching it. The fact that we know so little about it is part of what makes it so exciting, and I would hate to see them blow that.
Some other fans agree that Avengers: Endgame does not need another trailer but another one would be nice.
