Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ Season 3 May Arrive On Netflix Sometime This Summer

True believers fret not! Marvel and Netflix’s Jessica Jones will still return for its third season, according to Disney CEO and chairman Bob Iger.

After much speculation about its future on Netflix, it seems that the third season of Marvel show Jessica Jones will still release during next summer. The news came out today, as Disney frontman Bob Iger confirmed that the show will be released on Netflix in the coming months:

After Daredevil, Iron Fist and Luke Cage were canceled last year, it seemed that Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher and Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones would share the same fate. Still, Netflix and Marvel wouldn’t announce anything on those shows when suddenly The Punisher‘s season two was released earlier in January. However, no word on Jessica Jones even though production was far along. Some Marvel fans even thought that the third season of Jessica Jones wouldn’t ever see the light of day due to the fact that the Disney+ launch is approaching every day and Marvel could easily have it canceled at any time.

It seems now that those fears were unfounded and we’ll see Jessica Jones once again on Netflix; whether if its the last time, its anyone guess at this point in time. The third season should be in its final stages of post-production so it really doesn’t make sense for Disney to cancel its release this far along.

There’s still no news on the complete cast of season three of Jessica Jones but it’s more than likely that stars Krysten Ritter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Eka Darville will reprise their roles. Also, there’s no announcement on its plot yet or if it will return for another season on Netflix.
