Marvel Releases Special Look At Scarlett Johansson’s ‘Black Widow’

Marvel has released a new special look at Scarlett Johansson’s  Black Widow.

Since her character debuted in Iron Man 2, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow became one of the most reoccurring characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For years there were rumors that a Black Widow film starring Scarlett Johansson was in development but was kept at bay to due studio politics and other factors at Marvel Studios. But now Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow has finally gotten her own film.

The trailer for Scarlett Johansson’s upcoming film debuted last year and gave us a few ideas as to what to expect from it. The trailer spotlighted people who were apparently from Black Widow’s past and the people she left behind when she joined S.H.I.E.L.D. Earlier today Marvel released a special look at Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow which gives us more of an idea as to what to expect from the film.

The film will also mark the Marvel Cinematic Universe debut of Yelena Belova, the second modern-era character to use the Black Widow title in the comics.

Directed by Cate Shortland from a script written by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, Ray Winstone, Olivier Richters, and Rachel Weisz.

Black Widow will be released in theaters on May 1, 2020.
