Marvel’s ‘Spider-Man’ Appears To Be Getting A Game Of The Year Edition

Marvel’s Spider-Man video game from Insomniac appears to be confirmed for a Game of the Year Edition based on a recent leak.

Marvel’s Spider-Man came out to great anticipation and many would agree that the game delivered. Marvel’s Spider-Man earned overwhelmingly positive reviews from outlets like Metacritic, IGN, Game Informer, and many more. The game earned so much positive buzz that a Game of the Year Edition seemed inevitable.

A listing for a Game of the Year release for Marvel’s Spider-Man was leaked on Amazon a week ago. While the Game of the Year Edition is still unconfirmed, it has now been rated in Taiwan. A Game of the Year edition will most likely come with some extra content like all the DLC’s that were released after the game titled, The HeistTurf Wars, and Silver Lining. The last superhero game that received a Game of the Year Edition release was Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight.

While news surrounding Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and his exit from the MCU remains in the spotlight, Insomniac was recently bought by Sony. The developer has also been teasing work on a sequel.

Were you a fan of Marvel’s Spider-Man? Will you be picking up the Game of the Year edition? What villains would you like to see in the sequel? Sound off in the comments below!

Here is the synopsis for the video game:

“Starring one of the world’s most iconic Super Heroes, Spider-Man features the acrobatic abilities, improvisation and web-slinging that the wall-crawler is famous for, while also introducing elements never-before-seen in a Spider-Man game. From traversing with parkour and unique environmental interactions, to new combat and cinematic blockbuster set pieces, it’s Spider-Man unlike any you’ve played before.”

Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 is now available.
