‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’ Season 3 To Feature Maximum Venom

Marvel’s animated Spider-Man series will be returning in Spring 2020 for its third season and according to Disney XD’s Senior VP of programming, the new season will be re-introducing Venom!

Subtitled Maximum Venom, the third season of Marvel’s Spider-Man series on Disney XD will be bringing in one of Marvel’s fan-favorite anti-heroes. Disney XD senior VP Marc Buhaj has confirmed that Venom will be joining Spider-Man to further expand the lore of Marvel’s Spider-Man.

“We are excited to have Spider-Man and Venom leading this brand-new chapter. These two characters are fan favorites and the Marvel Animation team has delivered a smart, action-packed season for a new generation. We’re grateful for the opportunity to further expand the world of Marvel’s Spider-Man with Venom and continue fresh, heroic storytelling with this third season order.”

Sony Pictures released Venom back in 2018 starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock. Although there was no connection made to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man or the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans have theorized that Tom Hardy’s Venom will be making his debut to the greater MCU after Tom Holland returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever.

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, Numan Acar, J.B. Smoove, Oli Hill, Remy Hii, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Cobie Smulders, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released in theaters on July 2, 2019.
