Work won't begin on the film for quite some time.
After rumors swirled online recently that Jennifer Lawrence was being eyed to play Sue Storm in Jon Watts’ Fantastic Four movie, a new report says Marvel Studios has only just begun meeting with writers. There’s plenty of potential for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of the team, but the recent rumors are seemingly just wishful thinking from fans – especially in the wake of many thinking WandaVision‘s aerospace engineer could be Reed Richards.
Deadline’s Justin Kroll took to Twitter as fans reacted to the rumors, explaining that there isn’t a script for Fantastic Four yet since Marvel Studios is still meeting with writers for the project. It’s also worth pointing out that Jon Watts’ has yet to finish filming Spider-Man 3, so it would be surprising if the director was that deep into development on Fantastic Four while shooting the Tom Holland sequel.
Who do you want to see star in Jon Watts’ Fantastic Four? Should it be led by John Krasinski or someone new? Sound-off in the comments below!
