Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige Hints At ‘Real’ Mandarin & Ten Rings Appearance

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige held an ask me almost anything event on Reddit Thursday and confirmed that we may see the “real” Mandarin make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

The release of 2013’s Iron Man 3 introduced us to one of the most ruthless villains the MCU has ever seen, or so we thought. The man dubbed the Mandarin played by Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley) was nothing more than a fraud and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) put an end to his and his puppet master’s manipulative schemes.

Marvel Studios released a one-shot titled All Hail the King that starred Trevor Slattery behind bars being interviewed by a reporter who then reveals himself to be a member of the Ten Rings terrorist group who had a message for Slattery, hinting at “real” Mandarin. During his AMA on Reddit, Kevin Feige was asked about the status of the “real” Mandarin and if there were any plans to bring him or the Ten Rings in a future MCU film to which Feige responded saying, “yes.”

What do you think of Kevin Feige’s comments teasing the “real” Mandarin’s return to the MCU? Could this be hinting at the return of the Iron Man franchise? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
