Marvel TV Head Teases Possible Return Of The Defenders Series

Marvel Television’s Executive Vice President Jeph Loeb penned a letter in the response to Netflix officially canceling all of their remaining Marvel shows and hinted at a possible return of The Defenders in his message.

Today, Netflix officially canceled Jessica Jones and The Punisher, seemingly bringing an end to the streaming service’s partnership with Marvel. In response to the cancellations, Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb penned a letter in which he thanked the creative team behind each series and hinted that while Netflix may have opted to pull the plug on these stories, the heroes of The Defenders could return:

Our Network partner may have decided they no longer want to continue telling the tales of these great characters… but you know Marvel better than that.

As Matthew Murdock’s Dad once said, “The measure of a man is not how he gets knocked to the mat, it’s how he gets back up.”

To be continued…!

As he is drawn into the mystery surrounding her and those in pursuit of the information she holds, Castle attracts a new target on his back as new and old enemies force him to confront whether he should accept his destiny and embrace a life as “The Punisher.

The Punisher season 2 stars Jon Bernthal, Ben Barnes, Amber Rose Revah, Jason R. Moore, Deborah Ann Woll, Josh Stewart, Floriana Lima, Giorgia Whigham, Corbin Bernsen, and Annette O’Toole.

The Punisher season 2 is now available on Netflix.
