The third Guardians of the Galaxy film is still without a director following Disney’s decision to remove James Gunn as the director of the project, a choice the company made after offensive tweets the filmmaker posted years ago were brought back into the public sphere by far-right pundits. Now, Daniel R – a reliable source of information in the past – states that he heard Marvel wants a female director to replace Gunn on the final chapter of the Guardians of the Galaxy film series.
This is strictly a rumor at this point, but what do you think if it turns out to be true? Share your opinion in the comments section below!
James Gunn had previously finished his script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which was set to begin production early next year. However, the project has reportedly been put on hold following the decision to remove Gunn as the director of the final chapter in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, though Disney and Marvel Studios are said to be intent on using his script.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is expected to star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Sean Gunn.
