Principal photography on Marvel's 8 episode series The Inhumans officially kicks off today in Hawaii with director Roel Reine at the helm.

Marvel’s The Inhumans comes from a groundbreaking partnership between IMAX and Disney/ABC Television Group to bring the royal family to the small screen. In an unprecedented move, the series will debut the first two episodes directed by Roel Reine(Admiral, The Delivery) exclusively in IMAX theaters on Labor Day 2017.
Following the theatrical debut, ABC will capitalize on The Inhumans by premiering extended versions of the first two episodes with the following six episodes in tow. The first two episodes will be shot entirely with IMAX cameras with subsequent action sequences in following episodes also to be shot in IMAX.
Marvel has tapped Iron Fist showrunner Scott Buck to bring the series to fruition. Buck is best known for his work on the final three seasons of the showtime drama Dexter.
The official press release for The Inhumans describes the superhero team as a race of superhumans with diverse and singularly unique powers. The Inhumans were first introduced in Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965.
Marvel’s The Inhumans premieres September 26, 2017, on ABC.
