Kellan Lutz Up For Role In ‘Masters Of The Universe’

As you may have heard, Sony Pictures has been trying to get a new live-action Masters of the Universe movie off the ground for quite a while now, but it looks like the project is one step closer to becoming a reality as director McG (Terminator Salvation) has apparently started meeting with actors for the reboot.

How do we know? Well, Twilight and The Legend of Hercules star Kellan Lutz recently took to his Twitter page to break the news that he’s had a meeting with the director and producer Mary Viola for a role in the movie. Here’s the tweet:

It’s probably safe to say that he’s up for the role of Prince Adam/He-Man, so the cast is clearly not off to a great start, but at least he has the physique to play the part if he does indeed sign on to star in the movie. It’s definitely going to be interesting to see whether or not the project will see the light of day this time.

The script of Masters of the Universe has gone through several writers over the years, but the most recent draft was written by Thor: Ragnarok scribe Christopher Yost. What do you guys think? Would you like to see the Twilight star in the lead role or would you prefer someone else? Be sure to sound-off your thoughts in the comment section below.
