Here’s When Matt Reeves Will Begin Filming ‘The Batman’

We finally know when production will begin on Matt Reeves’ much-anticipated The Batman.

Courtesy of Production Weekly, the film is slated to go into production December of 2019. Although a specific date has not been stated, the listing does indicate that Matt Reeves and company will start rolling on the film in “early December.”

The new movie is expected to focus on a younger Bruce Wayne in his earlier career as the Dark Knight. Matt Reeves signed onto the film over a year ago after tenuous discussions with Warner Bros. The filmmaker was supposed to turn in a first draft of the script in October; however, that did not happen until earlier this year.

At this point, no actor has officially been confirmed as portraying Bruce Wayne/Batman.

After Ben Affleck’s departure was finally confirmed, speculation ran rampant on who will be portraying the young Dark Knight in Matt Reeves’ upcoming film. Names like Armie Hammer, Rami Malek, Kit Harington, and others have been floated around by fans.
