Matt Reeves Is Staying Quiet On Ben Affleck’s Status As Batman

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, director Matt Reeves discussed his upcoming Batman film, but would not divulge information on Ben Affleck’s future as the Caped Crusader.

After making his first two appearances as The Dark Knight in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman and Justice League, Ben Affleck’s future as the Caped Crusader has been the subject of speculation ever since the filmmaker stepped away from the director’s chair of the solo Batman film. Rumors claiming Ben Affleck will soon retire from the role have persisted for over a year, but Matt Reeves remained silent on whether or not the actor would reprise the role for his upcoming Batman film:

Plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film is said to center around a younger Caped Crusader and Matt Reeves has confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic.
