Chris Hemsworth has made a name for himself outside of the Avengers, even if the films themselves weren’t particularly well received. Hemsworth showcased his comedic chops in films like the Ghostbusters and Vacation reboots, but his most iconic role is still Marvel’s Thor. Next year, Hemsworth and his Thor: Ragnarok co-star Tessa Thompson will be headlining Men In Black International.
The trailer for Men in Black International was released online today and it featured a hilarious reference to the God of Thunder. At the end of the trailer, after the title appears, fans are treated to one more moment of action. Hemsworth’s character, Agent H, is kicked to the ground by an alien enemy. Agent H grabs a weapon, a nearby hammer, and prepares to fight with it in pure Thor fashion before heroically saying, “looks like the tables have turned.” However, after he throws the weapon at his assailant Thor-style, things don’t work out so well for Agent H.
After the alien grabs the weapon out of the air, completely unharmed, Agent H declares “that was an incredible catch” before taking a more up-close and personal approach to the fight. Depending on Thor’s fate in Avengers: Endgame, which hits theaters two months prior to Men in Black International, this could either end up being a great moment on the big screen or a very bittersweet one.
