After making his debut as Superman in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel and returning for two subsequent DCEU films, Henry Cavill’s future as the Last of Krypton has been in question for some time. Now, it appears Henry Cavill will pass the baton to Michael B. Jordan, though there are currently no details on how this new version of Superman will make his entrance in the DC Extended Universe.
Of course, Michael B. Jordan is known for his work in Black Panther, Creed, and Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four. How do you feel about Michael B. Jordan as the new Man of Steel? Let us know below!
In the meantime, Henry Cavill will trade in his Superman costume for the lead role on Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher. Based on the fantasy series of novels and short stories by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher will follow the monster slayer for hire named Geralt of Rivia. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich will also serve as an executive producer on the series while Alik Sakharov, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Charlotte Brändström are on board as directors for the eight-episode first season.
The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Jodhi May as Queen Calanthe, Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, Adam Levy as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as Aretuza, and Millie Brady as Princess Renfri, with Mimi Ndiweni and Therica Wilson-Read as novice sorcerers.
Henry Cavill’s The Witcher series will be available on Netflix at an undetermined time.
