Michael K. Williams Expresses His Interest To Play ‘Black Manta’ In ‘Aquaman’

Well, that was quick. It was just mere hours ago that news broke that we would be seeing Aquaman facing off against David aka ‘Black Manta’ in his upcoming solo film and there’s one actor who has already expressed his interest in the role. Following a fan tweeting out to the actor regarding his desire to see him as the villainous DC character, Michael K. Williams (The Wire, Robocop, The Night Of) responded with the following tweet.

While there are plenty of other actors out there who would be great in the role, the first name that came to my mind after the news breaking was Williams. The actor has expressed his desire for a role in a comic book film (No, we’re not counting his minor appearance in The Incredible Hulk) for quite some time now and would definitely be a fantastic addition to the cast of the upcoming James Wan directed film. What do you think about the possibility of seeing Williams as the film’s villain? Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below.
