‘Venom’ Star Michelle Williams Would Like To Play She-Venom

For a film that many fans initially dismissing as unnecessary for Sony Pictures to produce, Venom surprisingly assembled a terrific cast. Obviously, you have Academy Award-nominee Tom Hardy leading the way but you also have acclaimed performers including fellow Academy Award-nominee Michelle Williams.

Williams is playing Anne Weying, the girlfriend to Hardy’s Eddie Brock. In the comics, Anne Weying ends up getting her own symbiote suit and takes the mantle of She-Venom. Obviously, some fans are speculating about that possibility to be set up in this film.

During a press junket for the upcoming film, Williams was asked about the possibilities of bringing She-Venom to life. Williams isn’t too well versed into the lore of the comics, but she is open to the opportunity of bringing the character to the screen:

“I actually only had one girl come up to me and say ‘She-Venom… Man that is so cool.’ Maybe once the movie [Venom] opens, then maybe more comic book fans will let me know more about this world.”

Williams continued:

“I like anything that I haven’t done before – anything that’s new to me. I’ve been doing this for twenty-five years, I’ve been acting, so anything that’s like ‘Oh wow that’s so cool! I haven’t done something that’s super physical; I haven’t done something that involves a lot of technology!’ that sounds really exciting to me because I don’t know anything about it.”
