‘Morbius’ Star Adria Arjona Says Spider-Man Spin-Off Will Be “Edgy”

Tripe Frontier actress Adria Arjona praises her recent project Spider-Man spinoff Morbius saying that it is cool and edgy.

Netflix’s Triple Frontier dropped on the undisputed streaming service today and while promoting her new film, Adria Arjona talked with BlackFilm.com and praised her current film project Morbius saying that it’s “cool and edgy and interesting.”

She couldn’t go into much detail after that, but Sony Pictures has been pretty successful lately after the release of Venom and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Both films that were in their own way pretty cool, edgy and very interesting. Morbius started production this week and already has some Academy Award-winning talent in Jerod Leto. The film has also cast the Fast & Furious franchise funny man Tyrese Gibson who’s reported to play an FBI agent driven to bring in Dr. Morbius.

Arjona is set to play Martine Bancroft the fiance to Leto’s Dr. Michael Morbius who turns himself into a vampire after experimenting on himself with a serum derived from bats to try and cure a rare blood disease.

What do you think of Adria Arjona’s comments about Morbius? Are you looking forward to this new Spider-Man spin-off film and how do you think it will affect Spidey’s future with the MCU? Sound off in the comment section below!

The film will be based on the Marvel comic Morbius the Living Vampire featuring the popular anti-hero who first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #101. In the comics, the famed scientist Dr. Michael Morbius attempted to cure himself of a rare blood disease and consequently developed a form of vampirism instead.

Directed Daniel Espinosa, Morbius stars Jared Leto, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, and Tyrese Gibson.

Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Sony’s upcoming Marvel & Spider-Man projects!
