‘Morbius’: First Look Matt Smith’s Villainous Loxias Crown

More photos from the set of Sony’s Spider-Man spin-off Morbius are here, giving fans a first look at Matt Smith’s villainous Loxias Crown.

Sony’s next Spider-Man spin-off Morbius is currently shooting in Manchester, England. Earlier today, a set photo gave us our first look at Jared Leto as Michael Morbius and now there are more snaps featuring his friend-turned-enemy Loxias Crown, played by Doctor Who alum Matt Smith. You can see Matt Smith as Loxias Crown in one of the photos below.

Also known as Hunger, Loxias Crown was created by Howard Mackie and John Romita Jr. and made his debut in the pages of 1997’s Spider-Man #76. The issue also featured the first appearances of S.H.O.C. and Gwen Stacy’s cousin, Jill.

Directed Daniel Espinosa from a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, Morbius stars Jared Leto as the lead anti-hero. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing the project with Lucas Foster. Palak Patel will oversee for Sony.

In addition to Jared Leto and Matt Smith, Morbius also stars Adria Arjona as Martine Bancroft and Tyrese Gibson as an FBI agent hunting Morbius. Jared Harris is also on board as the titular character’s mentor.
