‘Morbius’ Set Video Reveals New Look At Matt Smith’s Loxias Crown In Spider-Man Spin-Off

A new video from the set of the Spider-Man spin-off Morbius features Doctor Who alum Matt Smith as the villainous Loxias Crown.

Production on Sony’s Morbius movie starring Jared Leto is currently underway in England and a new video from the set of the project has surfaced online, giving fans a fresh look at Matt Smith as Loxias Crown. Check out the set video below.

Also known as Hunger, Loxias Crown was created by Howard Mackie and John Romita Jr. and made his debut in the pages of 1997’s Spider-Man #76. The issue also featured the first appearances of S.H.O.C. and Gwen Stacy’s cousin, Jill.

Directed Daniel Espinosa from a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, Morbius stars Jared Leto as the lead anti-hero. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing the project with Lucas Foster. Palak Patel will oversee for Sony.

In addition to Jared Leto and Matt Smith, Morbius also stars Adria Arjona as Martine Bancroft and Tyrese Gibson as an FBI agent hunting Morbius. Jared Harris is also on board as the titular character’s mentor.

Morbius opens in theaters on July 31, 2020. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for more updates on the project and the rest of Sony’s Spider-Man spin-offs.
