‘Deadpool 2’: Morena Baccarin Wants To Become Copycat

With Deadpool 2 continually moving forward, news seems to come out about the film every day. Most recently, Morena Baccarin, shared what she wanted to see happen for her character in the sequel.

“I would love to see the evolution of [Copycat], and how she becomes that. I also think it’s very interesting to see the relationship with her and Wade after the whole thing. His whole demeanor changing. And just how they continue their relationship.”

Moving Vanessa’s character toward her comic book counterpart is probably something many fans want to see. Whether or not she fully becomes Copycat in Deadpool 2, which will already include Cable and Domino, remains to be seen however. Yet any more hints at Vanessa becoming Copycat for potentially the third film would be very cool to see. Baccarin herself has no idea whether the mutant alter-ego will appear however.

“Obviously everyone wants to see Copycat. I have no idea if that’s something they have in the works or not.”

We can only hope.

Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is a former Special Forces operative who now works as a mercenary. His world comes crashing down when evil scientist Ajax (Ed Skrein) tortures, disfigures and transforms him into Deadpool. The rogue experiment leaves Deadpool with accelerated healing powers and a twisted sense of humor. With help from mutant allies Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Deadpool uses his new skills to hunt down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool 2 is expected to release sometime next year.
