New ‘Mortal Kombat’ Video Reveals BTS Look At Brutal Fight Scenes

Get over here!

A new video reveals an in-depth behind-the-scenes look at some of the fights in Mortal Kombat ahead of the film’s release.

With just days to go until Mortal Kombat arrives on HBO Max and in theaters, a new behind-the-scenes featurette looks at how the cast and crew worked to bring the iconic fights to life in a way that stays true to the video game franchise. The first trailer teased that it’ll be a bloody affair, with Sub-Zero freezing Scorpion’s blood into a dagger and stabbing him with it in a truly memorable moment. But the new video gives fans an insight into the work that has gone into other moments like that.

During the video, Simon McQuoid explains that “the fatalities are sickeningly violent,” suggesting that fans of the games will not be disappointed by the big screen version of Mortal Kombat. Heroic Hollywood got to see the first thirteen minutes of the film, and it really is as brutal and visceral as the director says in the footage. Take a look at the behind-the-scenes video below.
