‘The Mummy’: Brendan Fraser Says Remake Will Be ‘Great’ For Audiences

Universal Pictures’ Dark Universe will kick off with the release of The Mummy, the latest reboot of the 1932 horror classic. Of course, this will be the second remake of the film, with the first having starred Brendan Fraser as the heroic lead who takes on the classic movie monster. Although Fraser will not be involved in the latest version of The Mummy, the actor did express his support for the film and his appreciation for his fans during an interview with Access Hollywood.

When asked about the fan calls for Fraser to be involved in the latest Mummy film, the actor stated that the film will still be appealing to audiences:

“I know very little about the actual project itself, but I know it’s going to be great for an audience, because they were always there for that thrilling popcorn movie feeling and adventure. I’m grateful for all of the support over the years.”
