‘The Mummy’ Debuts Brand New International Trailer

With the film’s release just over two months away, Universal Pictures has debuted a brand new international trailer for The Mummy, featuring a few more bits of never-before-seen footage than the sneak peek from last week.

The trailer kicks off with an extended look at the chase sequence that we recently saw featuring Tom Cruise and Jake Johnson’s characters, which ends with the two of them discovering the Mummy’s ancient prison. There are more new shots scattered throughout the rest of the trailer, which you can watch right below.

Directed by Alex Kurtzman, The Mummy also stars Sofia Boutella as the titular character, with Annabelle Wallis, Courtney B. Vance and Russel Crowe rounding out the rest of the cast. Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

The Mummy opens in theaters on June 9, 2017.
