The new TV spot features brand new footage from the reimagining of the hit 1992 children’s film including a new look at Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott including footage of the pair as they soar above Agrabah on a magic carpet ride set to a new take on the classic musical number “Arabian Nights.”

Fans can also get a look at the iconic magic carpet ride from Disney’s retelling of the classic animated film on the cover of the new book Aladdin: Far From Agrabah which tells a brand new story set within the world of the new live-action remake of Aladdin. The cover also reveals Aladdin’s costume as his royal alter-ego, Prince Ali, as it teases the iconic magic carpet ride when Mena Massoud’s Aladdin takes Naomi Scott’s Princess Jasmine on a magic carpet ride during the musical number “A Whole New World.”.
The film is set to feature plenty of new takes on the classic musical numbers from the original Aladdin as composer Alan Menken returned to provide the film’s score, in addition to co-writing new songs with La La Land’s Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, one of which will be a solo for Naomi Scott’s Princess Jasmine titled “Speechless.”

Guy Ritchie has directed the film from a script written by John August (Big Fish) and Game of Thrones writer Vanessa Taylor. August and Ritchie are also producing the film with Dan Lin. Marc Platt (La La Land) and Chris Montan (Frozen) are consulting for the project with Jonathan Eirich (Deathnote) serving as executive producer.
The cast features Mena Massoud who stars in the titular role of Aladdin, as well as Will Smith as the Genie, Power Rangers star Naomi Scott as Jasmine, Numan Acar (Homeland) as Hakim, the head of the guards and Jafar’s right-hand man, and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar. In addition, the live-action remake features new characters made just for the film played by Billy Magnussen (Game Night) and former Saturday Night Live comedienne Nasim Pedrad.
“Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future.
