While she will be suiting up as the Mighty Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe soon, Instagram artist “doubledomino” decided to replace Harley Quinn actress Margot Robbie with Natalie Portman. It’s an interesting choice since Thor star Natalie Portman doesn’t seem like the type of actress that could pull off Harley Quinn’s spontaneously bizarre supervillain tendencies. But after looking back at her performances in films like Leon, Garden State and Vox Lux, it’s clear that Natalie Portman’s Harley Quinn could work just as well as Margot Robbie’s.
Natalie Portman’s Harley Quinn wears the classic red and black court jester costume in this new piece of fan art that also sees her with a wide smile. Although we briefly saw Margot Robbie wear the suit in an all-too-brief flashback during David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, fans have been dying to see her don the costume again. You can see Natalie Portman as Harley Quinn in the artwork below.
What do you think of the artwork featuring Thor star Natalie Portman as Harley Quinn? Do you wish Natalie Portman had been cast as Harley Quinn instead of Margot Robbie after seeing the image? Who else would you have cast as Harley Quinn? Sound-off your thoughts in the comments!
Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn will next be seen in Birds of Prey. Full details on the Birds of Prey plot are currently unknown, though the film is said to center on Huntress, Black Canary, and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn joining forces to protect Cassandra Cain when she comes into the possession of a diamond belonging to a criminal kingpin known as Black Mask.
Directed by Cathy Yan from a script penned by Bumblebee writer Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, Ewan, McGregor as Black Mask, and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Ali Wong, Robert Catrini, and Michael Masini have also been cast in undisclosed roles.
Birds of Prey arrives in theaters on February 7, 2020. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Natalie Portman, Thor and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.
