Fans can now view Avengers: Infinity War on Netflix, but one fan on Reddit shared something noteworthy in the Marvel Studios Subreddit. When browsing Netflix for Infinity War, the fun fact listed reads as follows: “Audiences snapped up tickets for “Avengers: Infinity War,” powering it to more than $2 billion at the global box office.” Not so subtle reference to the Thanos snap there, is it, Netflix? But here, have a look for yourself.
Sure, most people watching Avengers: Infinity War have probably already seen the film. Without context, the words “snapped up” probably won’t mean much to the new viewer. Still, though, it’s very grim foreshadowing for the events to come. And if your first time watching Infinity War is on Netflix, hopefully that fun fact there doesn’t give away one of, if not the biggest event in the film.
Plus, it wouldn’t be the first time that Netflix has toyed around with some of the writing and descriptions for some aspects of Avengers: Infinity War. Still, though, what do you think of Netflix referencing the Thanos snap in this description here? If you have Netflix, did you happen to come across this when searching for the most recent Avengers film? Let us know your thoughts on this and more in the comments below.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War is available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, DVD, and Netflix.
