Initially set to be released on Hulu before the streaming service passed on the project, Netflix ultimately decided to pick up the Locke and Key series and reshot the pilot in addition to recasting most of the roles. Based on the IDW comic book series of the same name by Joe Hill, Netflix’s Lock and Key is now set to premiere on the streaming service in February 2020.
Today, Netflix released the first photo of the Keyhouse from the Locke and Key series on its official Twitter account. As readers of Locke and Key comics know, the Keyhouse is primary location of the series.

After their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death. As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens — and will stop at nothing to steal them.

Locke and Key will premiere on Netflix on February 7, 2020.
