Gotham is coming to a close tonight but the Batman prequel series is far from the only DC series that Fox has aired over the past few years. Lucifer premiered in January 2016 and went on for an impressive three seasons. Last year, Fox cancelled Lucifer but thanks to Netflix, season four is on the way.
Lucifer features Tom Ellis in the lead role and fans can see him chewing up the scenery in the latest trailer released by Netflix. Check out the first full trailer for Netflix’s Lucifer season four below.
After Fox cancelled Lucifer last year, fans were quick to make their disappointed voices heard on social media, just as many Marvel fans did for Netflix shows such as Daredevil and The Punisher. Unlike the pleas for the return of the Marvel Netflix shows, Lucifer was luckily resurrected for fans to enjoy for at least one more season.
Lucifer season four is coming to Netflix this May, right before another famous DC character debuts his new show. At the end of May, Swamp Thing arrives on the DC Universe streaming service. Underworld director Len Wiseman is an executive producer on Swamp Thing and coincidentally, Wiseman was also an executive producer on Lucifer.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Lucifer‘s return on Netflix next month as soon as more information becomes available.
