Netflix’s ‘The Punisher’ To Possibly Feature Another Marvel Hero

During a Marvel Presentation at Asia Pop Comic-Con, it was revealed that "another Marvel hero may be showing up" in Netflix's upcoming The Punisher.

It’s not San Diego and it’s not Hall H, but Asia Pop Comic-Con did offer some interesting news in it’s Hall M Marvel presentation that featured footage from Inhumans, Thor: Raganarok and Netflix’s upcoming The Punisher series. During the presentation, Senior Vice President of Creator and Content Development at Marvel C.B.Cebulski told fans that “another Marvel hero may be showing up (in the Punisher).”

That comment apparently earned a gasp from the audience — for good reason. Now the speculation can ensue.

Who that hero may be is up in the air. Daredevil and Iron Fist seem like solid possibilities — or really any Netflix hero. Daredevil stuntman Chris Brewster has The Punisher on his IMDB, so that could be telling. Is Netflix just staying with familiar talent, or will Matt Murdock make an appearance?

Another possibility could be a new hero entirely. Frank Castle is a military man, so could Marc Spector/Moonknight make his debut? Netflix has debuted characters in other shows leading up to their solo outings before. Or could Marvel Netflix finally be solidifying a connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? The options are wide open there.

Who do you think could make an appearance in The Punisher? Is it obvious or something way out of left field? Let us know in the comments below!

After the murder of his family, Frank Castle is both haunted and hunted. In the criminal underworld, he’ll become known as The Punisher.

The Punisher stars Jon Bernthal, Ben Barnes, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Amber Rose Revah, Deborah Ann Woll, Daniel Webber, Jason R. Moore, Paul Schulze, Jaime Ray Newman and Michael Nathanson.

While there has been no official word on a release date from Marvel or Netflix, the series has been expected to debut in fall 2017. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the Marvel/Netflix shows.
