Last month, a report by a reputable video game insider claimed Warner Bros. Montreal’s new Batman game would be a reboot, though whether or not it would be a hard or soft reboot of the Arkham series remain unclear.
Now, developers over at Warner Bros. Montreal have listed a “new IP” on their LinkedIn resume. Based on the timelines, it would appear this is connected to the new Batman game and the “new IP” listing would suggest it is not connected to the Arkham series, potentially confirming the reboot reports.
Check out the post below to see if you think this confirms the latest video game rumor.

On the film side, Batman is set to return in a new film directed by Matt Reeves. Full plot details on The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.
The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
