Marvel Entertainment has released a brand new featurette exploring their upcoming film, Doctor Strange. This featurette, titled “Open Your Mind” explores the characters of Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton), the film’s villains, known as the Zealots – people who become seduced from what they find on the other side, and the main antagonist Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen).
This exciting featurette once again showcases some of the impeccable imagery that Scott Derrickson is bringing to this entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The footage and concept art are promising a visual marvel (ha ha). The featurette also has Kevin Feige, Ejiofor, Swinton and Mikkelsen sharing bits and pieces of information involving the film’s narrative as well as the actors’ respective characters.
Seeing some behind-the-scenes footage from this film definitely jolted me with even more excitement for Derrickson’s film. From the sets, the costumes, and of course the caliber of these performers (3 Oscar nominees, 1 Oscar winner) I think that Doctor Strange is going to be a very special movie for Marvel. Directed by Scott Derrickson, Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt, Scott Adkins, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton. It opens in theaters everywhere on November 4.
