New ‘Hellboy’ Image Is Flooded With Loads Of Mayhem

Hellboy looks a little worse for wear in a newly released image that is flooded with mayhem.

The Hellboy reboot is one of those things that nobody asked for or wanted. It was supposed to be released in January 2019, until it was delayed 3 months to April. To make matters worse the first trailer was ridiculed by fans worldwide. Now, USA Today has released a brand new still of the Hellboy reboot nobody wanted. You can check out the image below… if you want.

This new take on Hellboy is directed by Game of Thrones helmer Neil Marshall and stars Stranger Things breakout David Harbour as the demonic hero. You can watch the first trailer here.

Helboy is aiming for an R-rating as it will have a darker, greater emphasis on horror than its predecessors as it attempts to differentiate itself from the previous films from Guillermo del Toro and go for a tone closer to that of the original source material. The character’s creator, Mike Mignola, wrote the script with Andrew Cosby and Christopher Golden.

Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.

Directed by Neil Marshall from a script co-written by character creator Mike Mignola, Andrew Cosby, and Christopher Golden, Hellboy stars David Harbour, Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Daniel Dae Kim, and Sasha Lane.

Hellboy will be released in theaters on April 12, 2019.
