The New Mutants director Josh Boone took fans behind the scenes to see what some trailer shots looked like as storyboards.
Using Instagram, Boone showed off three different storyboards for shots that he would go on to film, and he put them side-by-side with the shots that were seen in the trailer itself:
All things considered, and it’s still hard to imagine that movie is being made by the guy who directed The Fault In Our Stars. The New Mutants certainly looks like it will bring something new to the table, and it seems like a risk worth taking – but whether or not said risk will bear fruit remains to be seen.
New Mutants will arrive on April 13, 2018. The movie is directed by Josh Boone and has a cast that includes Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputin (Magik), Maisie Williams as Rahne Sinclair (Wolfsbane), Henry Zaga as Roberto da Costa (Sunspot), Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie (Cannonball), Blu Hunt as Danielle Moonstar (Mirage), and Alice Braga as Cecilia Reyes.
