LucasFilm released a brand new 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' TV spot, emphasizing on the Rebels' mission and of course, hope.
As someone who adored Star Wars: The Force Awakens, I can already say that in terms of a pure visual spectacle, Rogue One seems to be upping the ante. Granted, during the years in which the Empire was in control and Emperor Palpatine was on the throne, times were quite tough, to say the least.
If nothing else, what the marketing for Rogue One has spectacularly accomplished is distinguishing this Star Wars Story away from the Skywalker Saga. This really does feel like a boots-on-the-ground war film, and seeing this diverse team go after the Death Star plans is certainly going to be a delight. I have a feeling audiences are going to be in for something special with this newest entry in the galaxy far, far away.
Directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen, Riz Ahmed and Forrest Whitaker, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story blasts into theaters on December 16.
