Entertainment Weekly has revealed a brand new image from the upcoming second season of Supergirl, now set to air on The CW. This wonderful picture depicts our titular hero (Melissa Benoist) standing triumphantly right next to her cousin, Superman (Tyler Hoechlin).
How incredible is it to live in a world where we have a live-action Superman on the big screen as well as on television at the same time? I never thought I would see the day that this would happen, but I look at this image and not only do I see that reality, but this Superman is also standing right next to Supergirl. Talk about dreams becoming a reality.
Tyler Hoechlin also talked about the process of becoming television’s new Superman, which you can read about right here. What do you guys think of this brand new image? What are you most excited about with the upcoming new season? Sound off in the comments below.
Now, in Season Two, Kara has left the safety of being Cat Grant’s assistant in order to figure out what she really wants to do, while as Supergirl she continues to work at the DEO., protecting the citizens of National City and searching for Jeremiah and Cadmus. Along the way, she will team up with Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) to battle new villains, as she strives to balance her personal life with her life as a superhero.
Distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, SUPERGIRL is executive produced by Greg Berlanti (“Arrow,” “The Flash”), Ali Adler (“The New Normal”), Andrew Kreisberg (“The Flash,” “Arrow”) and Sarah Schechter (“Blindspot,” “The Mysteries of Laura”). Supergirl is based on the characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and appearing in DC Comics, by special arrangement with the Jerry Siegel Family.
Supergirl Season 2 premieres on Monday, October 10 at 8/7c on The CW.
