Right on the heels of Disney and Pixar dropping a teaser trailer and description yesterday for Toy Story 4, we now have yet another teaser, though this one isn’t on Woody and the gang. No. This one is all about Key & Peele. Yes, that’s Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key, who have been officially added to the roster of the film’s voice cast. But how do Key & Peele join in on the fun?
In the teaser, we pan down towards two new toys at a carnival game. These are Ducky and Bunny, voiced respectively by Key & Peele. Bunny asks Ducky if he’s seen the new trailer, which he hasn’t. Upon learning that it’s for another Toy Story film, Ducky is surprised. After all, he thought they were done since Disney and Pixar already made three films. And that’s true, but this is the fourth one because Disney and Pixar love money. After learning about this, Ducky is over the moon and expresses his love for the Toy Story films.
The two express their love for the franchise and try their best to remember Buzz Lightyear’s iconic phrase, but they never get it correct. This is when Woody and Buzz enter the teaser to tell the two that the phrase is, in fact, “To infinity and beyond.” And Ducky and Bunny find this hilarious because, as Bunny points out, you can’t go to infinity. It’s impossible, you know. Well, looks like Buzz Lightyear isn’t all that good at science.
Here, have a look at the second Toy Story 4 teaser in the video below.
But hey, at the very least, Ducky and Bunny got the chance to meet Buzz Lightyear and Woody. We’ll see, though, how they interact with them and the rest of the gang when the toys hit the road in Toy Story 4 next summer.
