New Trailer For ‘Batman: Arkham VR’ Turns You Into The Batman

One of the coolest announcements at this years E3 video game expo was for Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham VR. The newest installment in the Batman: Arkham franchise will give players a chance to not just control Batman, but to actually become The Dark Knight. The game will be the first superhero virtual reality game, and follows Batman as he tries to solve the death of a close friend.

The games in the Arkham series are known and loved for their gameplay. The fighting is well executed, the puzzles are always challenging, and the stories are so good they could have also work as movies. The new trailer shows some of the familiar tools from the series, such as the Batarang. It also gives you a look at what it’s like to dawn Batman’s legendary cowl from a first-person perspective:

The trailer features footage from this summer’s Comic-Con International in San Diego. Attendees of the event were given a chance to play the game and describe how they felt. It sounds like the initial reviews are all on the positive side, which is a great sign. Next, we need Superman and The Flash. Just imagine flying and running at superspeed in virtual reality. Get on it Rocksteady!

Batman: Arkham VR comes out October 16th only on PlayStation’s soon to be released VR helmet, PlayStation VR. Are you looking forward to becoming Batman? Let us know what you think in the comments!
