Nicki Minaj Jokes She’s Ready To Play Catwoman In Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’

Rapper and pop singer Nicki Minaj joked about being ready to play Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman on social media.

In addition to her Award-winning music, Nicki Minaj is also known for her roles in films such as Ice Age: Continental Drift, The Other Woman, and Barbershop: The Next Cut. For her next cinematic outing, Nicki Minaj will voice a character named Pinky in The Angry Birds 2 and multi-talented performer took to her official Instagram account to share a promotional video centered on the animated film.

Superstar Jay responded to the video in the comments section by suggesting Nicki Minaj should play the next Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Nicki Minaj replied the comment by joking saying that she is ready to take on the role of Catwoman, who is actually rumored to be one of the villains included in the Matt Reeves’ film opposite Robert Patterson’s Caped Crusader.

Plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and features a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that reportedly includes Catwoman. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC Films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader.

Matt Reeves’ The Batman is one of the many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. These projects include The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Cyborg, Supergirl, New Gods, and Nightwing.

The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
