Nicolas Cage Thinks He Would Be ‘Great’ As Superman Villain Lex Luthor

During an interview with The Guardian, Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage weighed in on the possibility of playing Superman’s arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor.

At this point, most fans are aware of the fact that Nicolas Cage was previously cast as the Man of Steel in Tim Burton’s canceled Superman film and while some have suggested that the fan-favorite take over the role from Henry Cavill, who is reportedly hanging up the cape and tights, Cage stated that he believes his ” Superman days are long gone.” However, when presented with the possibility of playing villain Lex Luthor, Cage seemed more than enthused by the idea:

“Oh, that would be GREAT! I’d make a great Lex Luthor!”
