Nicole Kidman revealed that fans will get to see her eat a Goldfish in Aquaman.
Aquaman is officially one month away from hitting theaters unless you’re one of the lucky Amazon Prime members who will be seeing the film a week in advance. Warner Bros. and DC’s latest superhero adventure showcases incredible special effects and an equally incredible cast. Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Patrick Wilson, Djimon Hounsou, Dolph Lundgren, Willem Dafoe and Nicole Kidman make up some of the talented cast.
Given Kidman’s career, some fans may not have expected her to return to comic book movies after starring as Chase Meridian in 1995’s Batman Forever. As it turns out, 23 years later she’ll be starring in Aquaman as the titular hero’s mother, Atlanna. In a recent interview with Variety, Kidman opened up about some of the things she enjoyed about playing her role in Aquaman. First off, she commented on the costume that she wore, which can be seen in the trailers.
“It was covered in what looks like scales, but it’s not scales.”
She then went on to reveal a very interesting scene that she enjoyed shooting in which Atlanna eats a sea creature.
“I ate a goldfish in the movie.”
Don’t worry fans, it wasn’t an actual Goldfish that she ate. Kidman also revealed that she wasn’t the only one tickled by the moment.
“My kids were thrilled.”
Kidman finally commented on the long hair that she’ll be donning in Aquaman.
“It was fun, and I love my hair – that long, cascading, to-my-bum hair.”
As fans can see, Kidman has mastered the art of gushing about a role without giving too many details away, as opposed to pulling a Mark Ruffalo and spoiling the film’s ending a year in advance. If the interview left you wanting more, don’t worry, because the film will be here before Christmas. In just a few weeks, all questions regarding Aquaman will be answered.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Aquaman as soon as more information becomes available. What are your thoughts on Kidman’s comments? Do they get you more or less excited for the film to hit theaters next month? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
