While speaking with MTV News, the actress did confirm that she has indeed signed a multi-picture deal but played coy about the character’s future in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men Cinematic Universe.
“No, I don’t. I just know for this movie it was really important for me that Psylocke got to show off how strong and lethal she is with the fight scenes. So that’s what I know for this one.”
With Deadpool breaking the bank at the box office, Munn was then asked if she thinks that success could be replicated with an R-Rated X-Men film.
“I think what happened with Deadpool is a combination of Ryan being so amazing, and the writer, and the director, and everybody. For anything to be successful it has to be the perfect storm, so you hope you’re the perfect storm all the time, right?”
