Oprah is throwing a Wonder Woman Day party for a group of young girls to celebrate the film and the heroine, and star Gal Gadot loves it.
Taking to social media to share her appreciation for Oprah’s efforts, which include throwing a themed party with a custom cake for 28 10-year-olds, Gadot proclaimed Oprah’s efforts as “awesome.” You can check out Gadot’s tweet below.
Although the official Wonder Woman Day took place June 3, Oprah is excited to host her own version of the event. She’s having a Wonder Woman cake from Charm City Cakes, appropriately themed popcorn buckets, and cuffs and flip flops for her guests to wear. Never one to be outdone, Oprah even got a Wonder Woman headband for her dog Sadie, who was a little less than thrilled about her new headgear.
Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Lucy Davis, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui and Eugene Brave Rock. Here is the official synopsis for the film:
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers… and her true destiny.
