Oscars 2019: Black Panther Composer Ludwig Goransson Wins Best Score

Marvel’s Black Panther has earned an award at tonight’s Oscars ceremony for its beautiful score by Ludwig Goransson.

Black Panther is represnting Marvel Studios in a big way at this evening’s Oscars ceremony. The groundbreaking superhero solo film is nominated for a number of awards tonight, including Best Motion Picture of the year. It was also up for the award Best Original Music Score thanks to the iconic musical work done by composer Ludwig Goransson on the film’s soundtrack.

Ludwig Goransson’s brilliant work on Black Panther has just won the Marvel Cinematic Universe film an Academy Award. Marvel Studios has been nominated for Oscars in thet past but Black Panther is pushing the envelope for the studios’ films, as well as all comic book films, with its groundbreaking number of nominations and Ludwig Goransson’s well-deserved win tonight.

The brilliant world of Wakanda, as well as part of Ludwig Goransson’s music score, was also featured in the 2018 MCU film Avengers: Infinity War. The MCU team-up film featured some very memorable moments in Wakanda, not the least of which was the death of many MCU heroes including T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman). Thankfully, the hero is expected to return in this year’s Avengers: Endgame and a sequel to Black Panther, though how he will return remains a mystery.
